Location
The Denman Hotel is located right in the heart of Thredbo Village. Being in the heart of it all means that you are close to the action on and off the hill and there is no need for your car during your stay.
Situated on Diggings Terrace we are directly opposite the stairs that lead down into the center of the Village Square, where there are cafes shops and bars. The chairlifts are a five minute stroll across the village and if you don’t feel like walking one of the village shuttle bus stops is at our doorstep.
Thredbo Village is located approximately 5.5hrs drive from Sydney, 2.5hrs from Canberra and 7hrs from Melbourne.
how to get here
Directions
- Take the Hume Highway from Sydney then, just south of Goulburn, take the Federal Highway and travel south to Canberra.
- Just outside of Canberra follow the signs to the Monaro Highway to Cooma.
- The Monaro Highway then joins the Kosciuszko Rd. Follow this road to Jindabyne.
- Drive through Jindabyne and take a left onto the Alpine Way in the direction of Thredbo (about 3 minutes after Jindabyne town centre).
- Continue through the National Park Gates on the Alpine way for another 15min.
- Take the second entrance into Thredbo (along the top of the Alpine way) a sharp right onto Banjo Drive.
- Follow Banjo drive around to the left, onto Diggings Terrace
- The Denman will be on your left located across from Squatters Run Apartments and next to Hahnenkamm. The Denman Reception is located at the top of the Driveway, the Apres Bar is most visible from the street.
- Follow the Hume Highway to Wodonga, taking the Murray Valley Highways Wodonga/Tallangatta exit
- After passing Wodonga, follow the signs to Tallangatta. Drive through Corryong and take the Khancoban turn-off on the right.
- Once in Khancoban you are only 41kms from The Denman. Check road conditions in winter as this road can be covered in snow. Follow the signs to Thredbo.
- Once you reach Thredbo take the first sharp left entrance into the village on Banjo Drive.
- Follow Banjo drive around to the left, onto diggings Terrace
- The Denman will be on your left located across from squatters run apartments and next door to Hahnenkamm. The Denman Reception is located at the top of the Driveway, the Apres Bar is most visible from the street.
- Follow signs to Cooma in a southerly direction. Continue through Cooma and on to Jindabyne.
- Drive through Jindabyne and take a left onto the Alpine Way in the direction of Thredbo (about 3 minutes after Jindabyne town centre).
- Continue through the National Park Gates on the Alpine way for another 15min.
- Take the second entrance into Thredbo (along the top of the Alpine way) a sharp right onto Banjo Drive.
- Follow Banjo drive around to the left, onto diggings Terrace
